main spaceship of this serial was originally used in Just Imagine. Despite their appearance,
almost all of the rocketships in the serial took off and landed
from an horizontal position, flying spirally. The first Flash serial
was followed by Flash Gordon's Trip to Mars (1939) - 15 episodes
- and Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe (1940) - 12 episodes.
